the sister and i got free invites to the bird park last saturday in celebration of the blood donors’ day (since we are regular blood donors). the weather has been terrible these days but thank goodness there was showers that morning so the afternoon weather was quite bearable. how we wish mario could come along but pets are not allowed. boo.

the bird park seems to be bigger than what i remembered it to be. we just keep walking around and snapping pictures. the best part out of this trip (besides being free) is that we took tonnes of lovely pictures. the lory loft has gotta be my favourite since we could get up close and personal with the lories. but the downside is, you can easily get crapped on (!) and it did happen to me (can i say thank gawd for wet tissue again?). we saw a little girl who ended up with lory’s crap on her face.

seriously, all the pictures are so beautiful cos the colours of the birds are so vibrant. i’d love to make another trip just to snap some shots but not before i invest in a better camera (and of cos’ good weather is a must). i can’t quite decide between a prosumer camera or a professional one. urgh! okay, completely irrelevant, but i realised i want a blackberry curve / bold too! how deluded am i? i used to think my obsessions are just with clothes, shoes and make-up. but it seems like i wouldn’t mind some gadgets too.

i wish i could put up each picture by itself but that would be a lot of work when it comes to uploading and i am just too lazy. the pictures in the collage doesn’t quite do the real pics any justice. it is THAT beautiful. i am not a bird-person but i think they make wonderful subject for photo shoots. my dad loves parrots and macaws. i don’t get the fascination about birds cos’ you can’t touch them, hold them or play with them but some people just do.

and this blue eyed toucan has gotta to be my favourite picture of the day.
