our favourite club @ the moment

everyone had such a blast on x’mas this year! we were so glad that we decided to ditch our plan to go butterfactory. besides the snaking queue, we abandoned the wait in the queue cos’ the crowd looked wayyyyyy too young. this was quite depressing actually. it is like a cardinal sin to be feeling old during festive period.

we sped to the next location in mind cos’ we really did not want to be stuck in the queue (!!!) outside a random club doing the count down to x’mas. that night, we survived on minimal alcohol and ultimate high. the band was perfect, so much so i felt like a groupie. and of cos’, we had to have (expensive) champagne (which i don’t even like but well it is a celebratory drink).

i spent the night in the hue of scarlett despite taking very little alcohol. i think i have a bad liver. in fact, i think my liver must be the size of a pea. that night, we spent four hours on the dance floor clubbing our heart out. it’s perfect. i came out of the club with very tired feet and a coarse voice.

i scrambled home as fast as i can cos’ by the time i got home, i had thirty minutes to prepare before heading out with the lovely ones at home. the lack of sleep sounds self-torturing but this has been such a fun (but very sleep deprived) x’mas. i can’t believe x’mas passes so quickly this year. blessed x’mas everyone!

This x’mas is going to be a blast. I love year end cos’ everything is perfect. It’s a great way to end the year. Merry x’mas everyone. I’m gonna dream of snow flakes and reindeers.

i have been waiting for this all week and it’s finally here. whoopedo. i’m a really happy camper. there will be seafood dinner at the kelong with a bunch of lovely friends. i just hope it’s not quad dates! group dates make me cringe, really. the only downside is that i will miss all the greys’ craze going on around in the house right now. can’t have the best of both worlds, can i? next up, x’mas shopping is on the list!

i’m at a really good place now.

the first thing we touched down in HK was to get some eye shut as we were up terribly late the night before to enjoy the last bit of sin city. the band at bellini bar was way amazing! once we have gotten enough rest, we went straight to Lan Kwai Fong to meet K. her friend has recommended prive as one of the best club in town. we ended up searching high and low for the place to no avail! when we eventually got round to it with some helpful directions, we realised it was an only-members club! urgh! and seriously, who is gonna know this is prive with the signage on the floor?!

it was so crowded! we could barely find a place that gives us a good seat. in the end, we club hopped and had way too much booze. the best place has to be azure on the 26th floor of lan kwai fong hotel. the funniest part was when my tsing dao got confiscated by the bouncer! azure is amazinggggg! we had so much fun until the club decided to put on backstreet boys (!!!). the last mojitos K and I had did us in. I swear it’s a mojito ‘gao’. We left for supper soon and i had to rush back to the hotel to puke. crazy shite. so for the first night in HK, i was nursing a hangover in the hotel loo. madness.

it was a challenge taking pictures here cos’ the wind was so strong and the weather was chilly. my fingers were all numbed.

it was drizzling when i was at lautau island so it was real chilly. we had to grab something warm and nice before going for the climb. the escargots with mashed potato was great. but the best treat was the hot buttered rum latte. i love rum!

i love this place cos’ it is so serene.

if only i’m a little more tolerant to cold, i think i would love the weather here.

we found and played with a really cute dog outside the monastery.

one of the best part about this trip was being able to catch up with a number of friends. after a chilly day at lautau, we headed off to hongkong island to catch J for some roast goose.

it was crazily cold! we were so lucky to be up there earlier to catch the night view cos’ thereafter the place got so fogged up from the cold weather that we could not see a single thing. but it was really lovely while it lasted. we got a kick out of eating gelato outdoor in this weather.

you never think that the last time is the last time and you think you can have more. you think you might have forever. but it is the last time.

i love huge washroom that comes with shower, bath and loo separately like mad. it just makes complete sense to build washrooms this way. i’m truly impressed with the service rendered by the hotel. we arrived with a whole lot of delightful surprises and perks awaiting us. i feel so very pampered. the service is top notch and i will so visit again. in fact, i was half reluctant to venture out of the hotel cos’ the stay was so amazing.

every trip to the sin city starts with a humble plate of takopachi.

the weather is amazing in the day.

i was hoping that i can take a ride on the gondola while wandering along an indoor street after dinner but to no avail. it’s a real pity cos’ i think they have knocked off for the day.

this is the only peek of the forbidden castle that i can manage. i swear i have not seen so many chinese in my entire life. we have tried our hands at different kinds of poker, slot machines, roulette table and some other random games. i have since concluded that roulette is the way to go as we are pretty much hopeless at the rest. the language barrier boo boo was the funniest incident at sin city. oh, and  we have also discovered that craps is the most popular table.

With the wind that gets pretty strong at times, the weather is a little chilly at night. the trench coat has been a godsend. i’m all wrapped up but i wish i had gloves with me cos’ my fingers are perpetually icy cold.

seriously loving the LX3 to bits. it is the best investment of 2009.

my impression of the sin city is that it is a quaint little island with nothing but lots of casinos and glamour. so what’s a trip here without visiting the various casinos? the grand lisboa is nothing but grand.

It has become increasingly easy to bare it all. I wonder if it is a sign of ageing or the complacent state of mind. Sometimes, it is really good to let all the ugly naked bits hang loose. At the very least, we know it is real. And when faced with such a circumstance, will you still walk the walk? I supposed only time can tell.

this has been sucha awesome trip. I’m so freakin’ broke . and there’s another trip to go. so tired and missing the weather back there already. doing up the new itinerary is a major pain.

i like year ends.

everything is nicer and  better.
